We Honor Veterans: Veteran Coffee

Daily, one in four deaths in the United States is a Veteran. Trained to survive and protect, they have unique needs when facing the end of life. Hospice & Community Care addresses these with our We Honor Veterans program that offered individualized support for Veterans under our care.

We Honor Veterans is a national program in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs with a simple goal – to honor those who have served with a life-enriching experiencing while facing the end of life. As a Level 4 We Honor Veterans partner, Hospice & Community Care offers respectful inquiry, compassionate listening, and grateful acknowledgment to comfort Veteran patients.

In an effort to support local Veterans in our community Hospice & Community Care is hosting monthly gatherings for Veterans on our campus. Join us for our first Veteran coffee and fellowship Thursday, March 29 at 9 a.m. We will gather for fellowship and then in recognition of National Vietnam War Veterans Day lay wreaths on the service monuments in the Hospice & Community Care Veteran Garden.

Monthly coffees will be every fourth Thursday of the month at 9 a.m. on the Hospice & Community Care Campus. Veterans will gather for a time of sharing and learning. Periodically gatherings will feature speakers on Veteran-centric topics.
The event is free to attend and open to all Veterans. For more information contact:
