Hospice & Community Care Receives Junior Welfare League Grant

Hospice & Community Care is honored and grateful to be selected by the Junior Welfare League of Rock Hill as a grant recipient at their Annual Spring Dinner on May 18. Tara Park, Twice Is Nice Chair, presented the $2000.00 grant to Hospice. Funds from this grant will be used to purchase monitors and bed alarms for patients at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. These items will help improve patient safety, as well as help ensure the comfort of our patients and their families.

The Junior Welfare League is an organization of volunteers committed to serving and improving the quality of life for people living in York County and surrounding areas. The League has a rich history of supporting Hospice & Community Care. In fact, the Children’s Room on the Hospice campus is named the Junior Welfare League of Rock Hill Children’s Room on behalf of their continued and faithful support. Each year hundreds of people utilize this room for support, education, and community meetings. With the awarding of this Spring grant, the Junior Welfare League’s lifetime giving to Hospice & Community Care surpasses $50,000.
