Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House
The Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House is the area’s only free-standing hospice house. The Patrick House provides hospice patients with expert care for pain control and symptom management, to offer caregivers a place of respite, and to provide a place for patients who may need the safety and security of residential hospice care. The house is staffed with nurses and nursing assistants 24 hours a day and also has physicians on staff. Social workers, volunteers, and chaplains are available for both patients and their families.
The Patrick House features sixteen (16) private suites, each designed with the physical and psychological comforts of home in mind. All private suites have a bedroom area for the patient that includes a bed, night stand, and recliner. A sleeper sofa can accommodate family members who wish to stay in the room overnight. The rooms have a wall mounted flat screen TV, a kitchenette with a microwave, mini refrigerator and sink. There is a private bath with a walk-in shower with bench seat. Each room also has large French doors which open onto a private patio which is accessible even for someone who cannot be moved from their bed.
